Recently I have got an email from a reader feeding-back regarding the overall of my blog. The reader claimed to be an experienced writer for one of the popular news media industry, and she graciously gave me several invaluable pointers to improve my blog posts’ readability.
The best tip of them which I find that it might help other financial bloggers like me as well, is to write concise and quality posts by splitting my content up into smaller multiple posts. This is shown to improve site views, straight-to-the-point contents and better development of a focused topic.
I believe that it was one of my habits (still unsure if it is a good or bad one) since the first personal blog post I had when I was young- To write blog posts like an essay. But now that I see and think about it, blog post are meant to be short meaningful interesting with personal touch. This might be why I always take 1-2 hours at least to draft out a post and another 1-2 hours to actually write the whole content in a proper manner.
Therefore if you see a change in my style of writing, it is just me learning a new writing style in hopes of getting more interaction and appreciation with my precious readers, on top of improving my writing skills. 🙂
